新西兰青年合唱团(NZYC)自1979年成立以来取得了巨大成功。在本国和11个国家开展了国际巡回演出，其中包括英国、欧盟、加拿大、美国、澳大利亚、新加坡、俄罗斯、韩国、帕劳太平洋岛屿和中国，从而以稳定性、活力和卓越的才能享誉世界。新西兰青年合唱团是世界上首支国家级青年合唱团，并鼓舞了世界各地其它国家级青年合唱团的组建。

合唱团由大约50名18至25岁的歌手组成，每3年进行一次试唱。
